Supporting Climate Damaged Environments and Vulnerable People – Modular Water Catcher
Mountain regions placed a certain altitudes can become arid due to the scarcity of water. This is due to the mountains being too high for a viable well to be dug to tap into the ground water table; the mountains having certain meterological conditions that prevent precipitation; and are mild in temperature and thus there is no rainwater and or snow. Through biomimicry of “cloud forests” we are able to provide water for such regions and support communities who would have to otherwise traverse 5-6 hours for water.
Introductory, Intermediatory, and Advanced Skills to Fusion 360 and Overall Design for Engineering
12 Chapters, 18 weeks of study, 11 schools, ~2500 eligible students, and Fusion 360. Designed to teach students from Grades 9 to 12 industry standard CAD practices that emphasize design thinking and modelling intuition. Skills learned can be transferred to programs outside of fusion 360. Open-source and free forever.
Optimization of Solar-Powered and Continually Sustained Flight for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
A brief history of solar flight with analysis of existing data; an explanation on the concepts leading to solar flight; narrowing existing technology to a feasible flight model; modeling through fluid simulation and power-metrics; and producing a possible prototype. Plans to extend paper and publish instead of just submitting as an EPQ.
Fundamental Analysis on Synthetic Suspension Motion Systems for Lightweight Applications
“Synthetic Suspension” this is a type of suspension that has been (hopefully) coined by me whereby the structure of the vehicle or robot is used to also act as the suspension protecting the body from varying forces. I will perform further analysis into this concept that I have already explored in the electric car competition.
